Phalcon is a little weird when it comes to the PHP framework. Its source code is written in C, so this is basically an extension from C to PHP. This sounds strange, but in practice it leads to one of the fastest environments that we had the pleasure of using.
When it comes to performance, Phalcon lives up to its name and it consistently delivers results that are at the top. Phalcon is also very resource-friendly and uses the MVC architecture. In addition, it is unique in that the framework itself has virtually no files after installing it. Instead, you simply add the modules and libraries that you need when you need them, which makes the development process very easy.
- Use C-based PHP Framework
- Take advantage of Phalcon’s fantastic performance and low resource costs
- Use only the modules and libraries that you need.
So far, Phalcon looks pretty good. We are big fans of this platform, but it is worth noting that, since we are talking about a less popular tool, its documentation does not meet the standards of giants such as Laravel. Finding help with errors may also require more effort. However, Phalcon is pretty close to being the best PHP framework you can use, especially if you need performance.
